Count Your Blessings Monday!!

Here is an opportunity for you to give thanks unto the Lord for a blessing in your life. If you have a blog, please sign Mr. Linky below and post on your blog. Please link back to this blog and you may use the picture above. If you do not have a blog, leave a comment on this post telling us what you are thankful for and what you are counting as a blessing today. This is a way that we can encourage one another. Many of our blessings we will have pictures of and we can share those as well. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. They encourage others. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!!

Today I am thankful for my overnight guests and long time friends. When I was still in high school, I was befriended by a woman at our church. I used to babysit her children for her. She would let me take her littlest guy everywhere with me. He was my buddy. She was a good listening ear for a teenage girl and was a good friend. She moved away I think in my senior year. We kept in contact some, but then lost contact. Several years ago, she was on my heart and I decided to try and find her. I finally was able to get a hold of her son. He put me into contact with her. She had moved to Texas. We would talk on the phone every so often and email once in awhile, but we had not seen each other in 32 years (give or take a year). She and her husband were going to be up in Ohio, so they stopped by our house. She honestly had hardly changed at all, other than she had a few gray hairs. We have had a good visit and it was good to see an old friend. This visit also gave me hope. I have another dear friend who has stayed in contact with me since I last saw her in September of 1976. My hope is that one day, Karen and I will be able to hug each others neck and sit and visit. Do you hear that Moles???? =)

My children just love your blog anymore. They love the nature watching. We do our morning routine which includes reading our favorite blogs. ;)

Marci Minus,

It will happen!!!! No reason I can't take a week off and come to see you if I can just get over the "flying for hours" issue.

I love you!
