Prayer Request

This morning a dear Uncle of Michael's was killed. Uncle Ed was a man of many talents. He at one time owned a flower shop with his wife, Aunt Kay. They are both licensed floral designers. He made beautiful furniture, he carved and made life like duck decoys, he was a member of SASS, he took part in many Civil War re-enactments and he was an avid hunter. I am sure there are many more talents that are not listed here. He was very interesting to talk to and to listen to. He had lots of stories to tell. Uncle Ed was special to us. He took a great interest in Joshua. He allowed Joshua to be in a Civil War re-enactment with him and made sure he was outfitted. He helped Joshua clean and fix his black powder rifle. They enjoyed talking together. Joshua added a garage and big room onto Uncle Ed's home. That was an honor to Joshua that he was asked. Uncle Ed is an artist and encouraged that in Joshua. He will be missed. He leaves behind his sweet bride, Aunt Kay, children and grand-children. If you feel led, please pray for his family.
Here is a picture of Uncle Ed with Joshua (on the right of picture) and Steve (Michael's older brother).

In this picture, you see Uncle Ed in the background. Aunt Kay is on the right with a nephew. The one in black is Kim, Uncle Ed's daughter and her daughter is the blond on the left. Kitty, the daughter-in-law is in the front.

Every time I hear of some one passing on, it makes me realize that we are not promised a tomorrow. Tell those around you that you love them. MAKE time to make that phone call, send that card or write that letter. Make sure you heart is right with the Lord. You can go here and see if you pass the test.

Marci,
We are never prepared for the death of a loved one, are we? So sorry to hear of Uncle Ed's passing, but rejoicing with you in his salvation. There is much to process now. I pray all would seek Him for comfort and allow Him to hold you close.

"Has God forgotten to be gracious? Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion? Then I said, 'It is my grief, that the right hand of the Most High has changed.' I shall remember the deeds of the Lord; surely I will remember Thy wonders of old." Ps 77:9-11
