Goodbye Uncle Ed

So much has been going on this past weekend. The viewing for Uncle Ed was last night. Michael told me to stay home one more night so I would not pass on my cold/cough. I did go to the funeral today. Uncle Ed touched a wide group of people. He had been a police officer in a nearby town. They sent officers to the funeral. We got to see lots of family. We always declare that we need to do more than just see each other at funerals. Aunt Kay is doing as well as can be expected. We will continue to pray for her and the family.

It rained yesterday and it rained today. The weather was up in the 50's so the top 2 inches of the ground were squishy mud. Then by one night this weekend it is supposed to be 6 degrees again. Michael said he would rather the ground freeze and stay frozen until it is all over. Then it can thaw and we can have our season of mud. We had a call from the Wonderful Neighbors. Our calves and their got out. We had a thunder storm this morning. We are wondering if it knocked out the fence charger. The fence was dead as was the charger. Michael had stopped in town on the way home from his Aunt's house after the funeral. We did not find out the fence was dead until after he came home and tested it. So back into town we went to pick up a charger. Then he had to come home and put it on. The fog going into town was really bad in most areas. Then we would hit a small patch where it was totally clear. I always thought that fog was in the low pockets especially over water. When we went over the river, that was one of the clearest spots. Guess we don't know anything about fog. =)

When I was coming home from town about 3:30 this afternoon, it got foggier and foggier, the closer to home I got. By the time I got in the house and looked out the window, I couldn't see across the road. What a weird couple of days...

We went to Columbus yesterday, and came home on highway 22 so we could stop and see a friend who lives near Circleville and the fog was so bad! It took us a long time to get home.

I'm sorry to hear about Uncle Ed, Marci. I will say a prayer for his family.
