I had recently written on here about how alive God's Word is for today if we take the time to read it. My Dad let me have my Mom's New Living Translation Bible. Every day I read the Psalm that corresponds to the day of the month and then every 30th Psalm and also the Proverb that corresponds to the day of the month. For example today, I read Psalm 17, 47, 77, 107, 137 and Proverbs 17. I did not receive this Bible until early summer, so what I am going to share never hit me before. Tomorrow marks the 2nd anniversary of my Mom's death. She went to bed totally healthy as far as we knew, and woke up in heaven. So as I was reading today, that has been on my mind. Thinking about today, 2 years ago was the last time I talked to her, etc. I was reading Psalm 17. Let me show you the last verse in the NLT.
Ps 17:15 But because I have done what is right, I will see you. When I awake, I will be fully satisfied, for I will see you face to face.
And that is what happened to my precious Mom!!!! I just thought it was neat and I don't believe it is by accident. I wanted to share it with you.
God is good. He brings things to "light" for us when we need them..and sometimes we don't realize what he did until much later. Thank you for sharing.
Marci, thank you for sharing this special moment from our Lord Jesus. He is our hope.
May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you. Psalm 33:22
Amen Amen! God's Word is alive!
I'm sad you are missing your mom, but imagining her alive and REALLY living now!
