Count Your Blessings Monday!!

Here is an opportunity for all of us to give thanks unto the Lord for a blessing in our lives. If you would like to take part great. If not that is OK too. If you would like to share your blessing, just leave it in the comments. If you want to use the picture above and list a blessing on your own site, then leave a URL to your site in the comments. There is no pressure here. I just know that I am incredibly blessed and I would like to share that and give thanks to Him who all blessing come from. This is a way that we can encourage one another. I know that I am often encouraged when someone shares a blessing with me. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!!

Today, I am thankful for God's faithfulness. Michael and I have really been trying to lose weight and it was not working. For the last 6 weeks we have sort of combined Weight Watchers and Nourishing Traditions. We had really prayed about finding something that works with what we believe to be healthful in eating. We have each lost weight for the last 6 weeks. One week, Michael did stay the same, but then he had a bigger loss the next week. We are very grateful to the Lord for helping us on this journey!!!

This got posted a day early. Sorry. Michael had to work today and I just thought it was Monday. :)

I'm thankful for my church! The people there really love the Lord, and I love being part of it! :)

Congratulations on the weight loss! It's so much easier when both of you are committed to it. I finally got it in my brain that losing weight slowly was better because of needing to change habits. So I took one habit at a time and changed it. For instance I gave up sodas and sweet tea and drink only water and herbal tea. On the once in a while occasion I will have them for a treat. Eating 5-6 times a day keeps your metabolism going steady. Just eat smaller portions. This is really working for me and I feel much better! Less tummy problems. I haven't lost any more weight in the past 3 weeks, but I haven't gained either. I did measure myself and have lost inches though! Keep up the good work!
