Count Your Blessings Monday!!

Here is an opportunity for all of us to give thanks unto the Lord for a blessing in our lives. If you would like to take part great. If not that is OK too. If you would like to share your blessing, just leave it in the comments. If you want to use the picture above and list a blessing on your own site, then leave a URL to your site in the comments. There is no pressure here. I just know that I am incredibly blessed and I would like to share that and give thanks to Him who all blessing come from. This is a way that we can encourage one another. I know that I am often encouraged when someone shares a blessing with me. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!!

Sometimes a blessing comes in the form of a trial. I remember when I got meningitis back in 2005. My Mom came to see me and took care of me for about a week. She died very suddenly and unexpectedly less than 2 months later. Because of my illness, all of us here in Ohio got to see her one more time and I got to spend more time with her than I normally do, because she was taking care of me.

I am trying very hard not to complain about the winter. I really do enjoy winter and I love snow. This has just been an extremely cold and snowy one. However, I wonder what blessings we are receiving because of it. I do know that we have had a drought in this area the last 2 years. All of the snow counts as moisture for our ground. Also, if we have a really mild winter, many times things that need to really die off, don't quite die. I know after the cold temps this winter, we will hopefully have a lot less bugs. So, I am counting this winter as a blessing. I am taking it on faith because God's Word tells me that it is for my good.

We have news as well. Our farm is on the market. We have committed our plans to the Lord and we are stepping out and asking Him to open or close doors. We would appreciate your prayers in this area. We don't have a sign in the yard yet, but we did have 3 families express an interest in our farm if we ever were to sell. We have approached each of them and given them a flyer that tells about our farm and that it is for sale. We are starting there. There are many details and timing on certain items that the Lord will have to orchestrate. We pray that He will give us clear leading.

I will be praying for you to have such clear direction from the Lord concerning your move. We deperately need moisture here in Texas. We are under fire bans and had almost 7000 acres burn near us this weekend. You are welcome to send some snow this way :) Have a wonderful day sweet Marci!

Now, if you were planning on moving to Missouri, I would really be excited! I know the Lord will guide you through the whole process. What made you decide on Tenn.? (I have known, or known of, so many people that have chosen to move there.)

You all are in my prayers as well, Marci. We have the same yearnings but waiting on the Lord's timing. I pray you hear clearly from Him!

Hi Marci! This is Lisa Melvin Moreno,
I am Clara's daughter. I hear that you are moving to my neck of the woods! I am so happy that I will finally get to meet you! Can you tell me where you will be? There is a farm near here that has been for sale and now it is not, Mom said the other day," Wouldn't that be funny if that is where Marci lives?" Lisa
