Count Your Blessings Monday!!

Here is an opportunity for all of us to give thanks unto the Lord for a blessing in our lives. If you would like to take part great. If not that is OK too. If you would like to share your blessing, just leave it in the comments. If you want to use the picture above and list a blessing on your own site, then leave a URL to your site in the comments. There is no pressure here. I just know that I am incredibly blessed and I would like to share that and give thanks to Him who all blessing come from. This is a way that we can encourage one another. I know that I am often encouraged when someone shares a blessing with me. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!!

Today, I am thanking the Lord for hay. We have been praying about hay and what to do with our animals. Michael has gone to the auction several times trying to get hay. The Amish always run it up pretty high for around here. They really want the hay, because at this auction delivery comes with the price. It has been going to up over $4 a square bale for junk first cutting. Well last week he went to the auction and was able to get some square bales delivered for $2.25 each. YIPPEE!!! Then he has been pricing round bales for the cows. (Square are for the sheep). They have been going from $30 to $45 a bale. We can get a few, but then we are going to be out of hay and money. One of our customers asked us if we needed hay. I said yes and they asked if we wanted to buy some from them. I told them I would have Michael call them. He called them. They don't have a whole bunch, but enough to maybe see us through the winter. They are larger ones too... around 800#. Michael asked how much he wanted for them. He asked what prices Michael had seen and he was very honest. He asked if we would take them for $15 each!!!!! After Michael made sure he was serious, he said YES!!!! So, praise the Lord He is answering our prayers.

I do have a prayer request as well. Michael bought me a pair of turquoise earrings. The hook on them was a bit funny, so I kept bending it to make sure they would stay in. I wore them around here all day on Friday to make sure they were secure. They did fine. I wore them out Saturday to do errands. Now one of them is missing. I have no idea if it is here or not. :( Please pray that I find it.

I'm thankful for my Bible, my freedom to worship, and my lovely lady friends who share the dedication of study with me.

I know what you mean about the hay. We try to make sure we get enough in the summer to last at least well into the spring. It's hard to find it affordably in the winter/spring. What a blessing to find it so reasonably priced!

Check your laundry. I lost an earring last week, but later found it in my laundry.

Thanks for hosting Marci.

Hi Marci, I'm thankful for you and your willingness to share your knowledge without making me feel like a dork. I've asked others online questions and came away feeling very embarrassed that I didn't already know the answer. So, thank you for your help with the gluten question.
Also, WOW...$15 for round bales, if we find them for $50 we think we have found a treasure.

The Lord is taking care of you! He will help you find the earring too. Years ago my husband bought me a sweet little pinky ring that was gold with a little tiny diamond in it. When we were packing to move from New Orleans to Colorado it was lost. I prayed desperately that the Lord would help me find it. I couldn't find it anywhere. When we were moving into our new home in Colorado my little daughter walked in with it said she had found it on the steps outside. Not only was I praising the Lord for giving me the ring back but for letting her find it. I felt like she needed to have something to feel special about at that time. He knows all of our needs and can take care of them!

I will pray for you Marci! The Lord is so faithful to help me find things that I thought were lost. What an awesome provider He is for us....in all things. Even to helping you find hay at such low prices.

I'm thanking Him today that, despite my infirmities, I still am able to serve my family in cooking nourishing meals, cleaning their dishes and laundry, teaching, and keeping an orderly and beautiful home. All glory and honor to Him! Have a blessed day in the Lord! :)

Quite a while ago when we lived in the city I lost the diamond from my engagement ring. It is very tiny to start with, and I had no idea where to even begin, since I hadn't noticed it missing right away. Well, we prayed, and as Jim was cleaning up our family room from having company he found the diamond -- it had fallen between the cushions of our couch and was sitting on the black webbing of the bed part underneath. It could have only been God directing his steps. I was very thankful.
