The party is on!!! We are thrilled to take part in the Blog Party this year. I will tell you a little bit about us.
Michael and I will be married for 32 years as of next week. We really grew up together. I am truly blessed by the man that God has allowed me to spend my life with. God also blessed us with one Son and then with a precious Daughter-in-love. Here is our son...

We have also been blessed to live on a farm. We try to grow or raise as much of our own food as we can. We sell some to try and offset the costs. Probably our most famous farm animal is Buttercup, our Jersey cow. She is 15 years old and is gentle and sweet and gives the best milk you ever tasted, with cream that mounds up on a spoon.
Star is another famous part of our farm. :) She is an Australian Shepherd. She is now 13 years old and been the best dog that we have ever known.
This is our newest addition, Skye. She is also an Australian Shepherd. She is not a year old yet and full of energy.
This is my little corner of the house. I spend a lot of time in this corner in the winter time. The stove you see is the heating source for our house.
We also raise Shetland Sheep.
I was able to complete a dream project of mine last year. I made a shawl from the wool of my herd matriarch, Sunshine. Here is my sweet Daughter-in-love modeling it for me.

We also pasture raise broilers in the summer and turkeys for Thanksgiving. We raise pigs every so often as well. We try to garden each year and can and freeze the fruit of our labor.
We have an online store that carries all sorts of kitchen equipment and things to help around your homestead. We are also sponsoring one of the prizes for the Blog Party. Click on our logo to check out our store.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Make sure you click on the banner at the top and check out the Blog Party. There are lots of prizes.

I've always wanted to try raising turkeys! I love the name of your store!
I love your dogs and your "star" of your farm! She is beautiful. I was on my grandfathers farm when I was a small child and miss that life! :) Be Blessed and glad I got to stop by!

Oh I am so excited to have found your blog! I was born on a farm, but we moved when I was five. After MANY LONG years of waiting and praying, my husband has chosen for us to move out into the country in about two months. I will at least have a garden again...this summer! :)
Thanks for visiting my blog - it looks like you have a lovely place. I grew up on a hog farm as a child & I always love going back to my parents place to visit, even though they don't farm any more. The country is such a beautiful place to live!
Stopping by from the UBP '11! What a beautiful farm! It looks like you have your hands full!
Excited to meet you. What a busy life you lead. It looks wonderful.

The star of your farm is so cute!! :)
I have to say that I love how the "beef" cow is hiding behind a shrub. It's like he knows. HAHAHHA!

PS. I just read the Spurgeon quote this week.
Wow.
Goodness TWO Aussies!!! We have one, a 3 year old tri color who came from a farm but due to injury could no longer work. Fabulous girl (Stryker is her name) And we have a Mini English Bull Terrier, he's a character all on his own, both have HUGE personalities. :) I am so glad I found your blog and cannot wait to follow your farm journey. As an Army wife I have always had this little pull to be able to stay in one place long enough to hold a big garden and more animals of my own - one day - for now I follow blogs like yours :)
