It is TRULY a Winter Wonderland!!

I was talking to the Wonderful Neighbor woman this morning. The conversation got around to the snowman that her children built for me. I learned something new. It is a modular snowman. How many of you can say you have a modular snowman?? They made the snowballs next door and transported them here on sleds. Their mother wondered why they did that. They had a great answer. In the morning, the snow was great for packing and making snowballs. They had made several during the morning. Then as the temperatures dropped yesterday, the snow would not hold together. So, those wonderful children sacrificed the snowman parts they had made and transported them to my yard to bless me!!! That makes this guy extra special!! I really do have WONDERFUL NEIGHBORS!!! :) This looks like a great place to make a plug for the aprons I sell in my store. The Wonderful Neighbor girl makes them for me. She has been highly complemented on her work by the customers that have purchased them already. She would love to make one for you!!!

This picture was taken yesterday. It shows the gray skies of Ohio that we see most of the winter.

The long tubular bird feeder on the right was a Christmas gift from our friends that visited at Christmas. Each of the perches will hold up a bird, but if a squirrel tries to get on them, they drop down. We really don't have much of a squirrel problem with our dogs and the barn cat. However, I LOVE my new feeder and the birds do too!! They sell them in their store.

I am sorry about the weird sound my camera makes when I shoot video with it. I think it has something to do with the automatic focus.

I was getting ready to publish this post and I looked outside and the flakes had gotten huge. The way it is snowing right now is the snow you see in the movies. Lots of big fat flakes.

This bucket is just outside my back door. It is upside down.

Star went out front with me. She was only out there for less than a minute. :)

I am going to put a couple more videos up of the snow falling in big flakes. This is for my Florida friends. It is currently 16 degrees with a wind chill of 8.

I was talking to a friend who lives around the corner. Her son went out and measured the snow on their trampoline that was clear this morning. He measured 4 inches of snow.

Here is one last video!!

Hi Marci,

Thanks from Florida for the videos! I can't believe the size of those snow flakes in the last video in comparison to the first video! Beautiful!! Okay, here is a question from a Fla native at the risk of sounding ignorant...do your cows have to stay in the barn all the time during such low temps? You must be freezing when you have to get out to milk! Here in Fla. we may get below freezing towards the end of the week. My boys can't wait for the man-made icicles we are planning to freeze. That's as close as we can get to snow :( Stay warm!

Hi Marci,
We have a sort of heatwave tonight -- the windchill warning was cancelled (the wind died down), and we only have to contend with temps -25 to -35. That's an improvement!

Thanks for sending some snow to Florida. I went home for Christmas in upstate NY and enjoyed every second when the snow was falling down. I miss the snow so much!
Thanks again you made me smile!
