Count Your Blessings Monday

I am giving us an opportunity every Monday to not only count our blessings, but to share them with others. This is a way that we can encourage one another. Make a post on your blog telling us about your blessing. Please put a link back to this post. You can add the URL of your blog post on Mr. Linky below. If you don't have a blog, then just leave a comment and share your blessing. Many of our blessings we will have pictures of and we can share those as well. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. They encourage others. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!!

Today I am sharing the blessing of pictures. My Dad has entrusted me with the family pictures. They are not all mine to keep, but I am sorting them and then will scan them and save them on CD's for everyone. One of the biggest parts of this blessing is seeing loved ones who have gone on before us. I think of the Amish or back before cameras were something that the common man had. If someone died, you had to go on memory alone. I love to be able to see the faces and the different expressions. You also get to see things from your past. It is so much fun going through pictures. Here are a few I will share with you.

This is my Dad and I. I don't ever remember seeing this picture, but I really do love it. I am blessed to still have my Dad living. I talk to him about every other day. He lives in Florida with his wife, Alice.
This is a picture of my Mom holding me. I was her first daughter and ended up being her only daughter out of 5 children. I was surrounded by boys. Two older brothers and two younger brothers. I love this picture. It feeds a special spot down inside me. I really miss my Mom. I love to see how young she looks here.
This is my Mom and 5 of her 6 siblings. Her youngest sister was not born yet. My Mom is standing in the front on the left.
This is me at my graduation. Both my Grandma and my Mom have gone on to be with the Lord. They both look young to me on this one.
I love this picture. This is a picture of my Grandma (far right) and at least one of her sisters (Flo, second from the left). I am not sure who the others are. Aren't they stylish in their bathing suits? =) Aunt Flo was born in 1898 and Grandma in 1904.
I am very grateful for all the pictures. Let's hear some blessings from some of you!!!
