Count Your Blessings Monday!!

Here is an opportunity for all of us to give thanks unto the Lord for a blessing in our lives. If you would like to take part great. If not that is OK too. If you would like to share your blessing, just leave it in the comments. If you want to use the picture above and list a blessing on your own site, then leave a URL to your site in the comments. There is no pressure here. I just know that I am incredibly blessed and I would like to share that and give thanks to Him who all blessing come from. This is a way that we can encourage one another. I know that I am often encouraged when someone shares a blessing with me. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!!

Today, I am thankful for a wonderful Sunday. There were 20 of us together yesterday and we had some good fellowship. We shared prayer requests and praises. We sang hymns together and listened to things the Lord is teaching some of us. Then we had a meal together and were able to talk while we ate. After the meal, the children played together and we were able to share some more.

Then we went to see my Dad. He is leaving today for Florida. I will miss seeing him, although we will still talk on the phone. We spent some time with him and Alice.

Then we came home and did our evening chores. The Wonderful Neighbors came over and we all watched Toy Story 3 together. There are many things in the movie that you would not catch if you weren't an adult, but so many fun things for the children. It is much more fun to watch a movie like that with children. I love to hear the belly laughs and comments.

We made popcorn a couple of different ways. We made some in a pan with coconut oil. Then we salted it and put on nutritional yeast. We also did some in the air popper with olive oil, salt and nutritional yeast added. The Wonderful Neighbors brought a yummy snack mix. We always wait to make at least one batch of popcorn after the Wonderful Neighbors arrive. They always make theirs in a pan on the stove. They children (especially the boys) are fascinated by our air popper. They love to watch the popcorn change color before it pops and then they love to watch it start popping. I am telling you, we provide first class entertainment at our house. :)

Here is a short video of our wonderful entertainment. :) Don't forget to shut the music off in the sidebar.

What are you thankful for this week?

I am thankful for our fireplace--we've already had 3 fires in it just to "take the chill off" as the temps have dropped.
Not only does it provide warmth, and save on our heat bill, it also makes everything so cozy and homey! :)

The Toy Story movies are so cute! My son, now 15, loved the first one when it came out when he was a preschooler. He watched the video several times a day and his father and I almost had it memorized! We wised up and don't do as much tv, anymore, but those are still great movies.

Glad to see you got to have some neighborly fellowship.
