Drawing!! What are you Thankful for?

This post will stay on top. To read the new posts, scroll on down.

Thanksgiving Day is coming up next week. Many people give thanks, but they really don't think about being thankful to God for all the blessings in their lives. So in honor of Thanksgiving Day, we are giving away another book. This book is called Hedge of Thorns It is a nice hard back (padded cover) book from Lamplighter Publishing. It is written for children, but is a good book for all of us to read. In order to be entered into the drawing, please list 5 things that you are thankful to God for, in the comments section of this post. We will put all the names in the hat on Thursday evening (Nov. 23, 2006) and post the winner's name on Friday. I will end this post with my list.

I am thankful to God for:

The gift of His son so that I might spend eternity with Him.
My wonderful husband who has truly been my better half for almost 28 years.
My son who is my special gift from God.
Being brought up in a Christian home.
Allowing me to live on a farm with all my animals.

I read your post and enjoy your pictures. Things I'm thankful for this and every year:
a--A supportive family--ups and downs and we're still strong.
b--Being able to be a stewards of God's earth. Farmers/ranchers and enjoying every minute of it.
c--Bless with talents that I share with other's. Quilting/sewing that I give as gifts show in worship.
d--Wisdom to support myself. I have a wonderful job and wonderful people to work with.
e--Opportunities--We live in a part of the world where we are free to worship and do what we please. I'm just fortunate enough to be raised by Christian Parents, being married to a wonderful Christian man and have a large group of Christian friends.

Yes, we should be truly thankful for God for many reasons this year.

3. For friends....who help in moving and are supportive.

Hello, Marci,
I am thankful for:
My Godly husband who loves God's word and defends the truth.
My four daughters and another on the way.
My parents and parents-in-law who support and love us and love the Lord.
My Lord who died for me.
That He makes even trials and suffering worthwhile, so we have nothing to fear; since He has conquered death, we can even welcome suffering, as the saints of old did.

Not in any particular order:

1) Circumstances - God has truly showed me that he will teach me in all circumstances.

2) Loving family and friends. My hubby especially. God sent him into my life at such an opportune time.

3) My job - God sure has blessed me with my job.

4) Animals - God was very clever to create such things. They have really brightened many days for me.

5) Examples - God has provided so many great examples to teach us. Who are our mentors? Who are our heros? How about Jesus. He is the ultimate example.

We have so much to be thankful for.

This year, I am especially thankful for
*The free gift of salvation and the blood of Jesus Christ. MY SAVIOR!
*The family that God has so richly blessed me with.
*The fact that I still have my dad with me and that he has been donated a kidney.
*My loving and supporting church family. Where would we be without them??!!
*The opportunity that we have had to work in SIGMA, the bus ministry, and other ministries in our church.

There are so many things I am thankful for. It's a good thing you only wanted five because I could not list them all.

God is good....all the time!
