Count Your Blessings Monday & Chickens

Here is an opportunity for you to give thanks unto the Lord for a blessing in your life. If you have a blog, please sign Mr. Linky below and post on your blog. Please link back to this blog and you may use the picture above. If you do not have a blog, leave a comment on this post telling us what you are thankful for and what you are counting as a blessing today. This is a way that we can encourage one another. Many of our blessings we will have pictures of and we can share those as well. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. They encourage others. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!!

This week I am thanking the Lord that the herb garden is done. We had been buying herbs or getting them from friends as we could. They were all starting to die in their little pots. My dear sweet husband got the bed all done and we got the herbs planted. God sent a good rain that evening, so He watered them for us. I mulched them with grass clippings. Some of them don't look so hot, but I am sure they will bounce back.

Also, last week I forgot to take pictures of the broiler chickens on Thursday. So, I took pictures last evening. They are just about 5 1/2 weeks old now. We are going to be putting some from each pen into a third pen.

I just decided to throw in a picture of my Echinacea because it was so pretty. =)

Oh I LOVE herb gardens! All I have is a small box on my porch with 3 different herbs in it. We always say... 'someday.' When we have our own place we will splurge on such things. Lovely - thanks for sharing.

We planted a few herbs in our small garden this spring. How fun to go and pick fresh thyme and parsley when I am preparing a meal. I never thought of using our grass clippings for mulch - we will try that!

I enjoyed your post. Your herb garden will come along. It takes a little time.

We have so many blessings to be thankful for each day. Just being able to get out of bed is a blessing to me. Thanks for the reminder.

Blessings,
Mary
