Count Your Blessings Monday!!

Here is an opportunity for all of us to give thanks unto the Lord for a blessing in our lives. If you would like to take part great. If not that is OK too. If you would like to share your blessing, just leave it in the comments. If you want to use the picture above and list a blessing on your own site, then leave a URL to your site in the comments. There is no pressure here. I just know that I am incredibly blessed and I would like to share that and give thanks to Him who all blessing come from. This is a way that we can encourage one another. I know that I am often encouraged when someone shares a blessing with me. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!!

Today, I am thankful for so many things. We have been having beautiful weather. It has been sunny and in the 70's. A couple of days it was even in the 80's. The grass is green and we have already seen people cutting their grass.

Michael and I have had a good time this weekend. We have accomplished much and enjoyed our time together.

My brother went to the ER and they found that he had 3 arteries blocked over 90%, including the one they call the Widow Maker. They put stints in and he is doing well. I praise the Lord that he is still with us. We went to see him at the hospital on Friday night and then we were able to go to church with him on Sunday.

We got to see family yesterday. We spent the afternoon with Michael's family. They had their annual Egg Crack Off contest. I always lose in the first round, but it is fun watching the others.

Most of all, I am thankful for a God who is alive. One that death could not contain. I really tried to keep it fresh in my mind all weekend. Thinking about what the people of that day thought as they saw Him die and then knew He was dead and in a grave. Then imagining what it was like to know that He was no longer dead and the shock that would be. Praise the Lord, I serve a RISEN SAVIOR!!!!!

It's a blessing to me to have friends who will pray for me and my family. Being very sick this weekend caused me to request prayer and every kind word and every mention from someone that they would pray for us truly meant so much to me - like a hug when one needs it most. Christian friends are a blessing!!!

Marci - I'm so glad you were able to celebrate another Easter with your brother. God is good, indeed.
