I was just in my kitchen and I heard a blessing!! Yes, I heard it and I was the only person there. It was the sound of jar lids pinging after they have been removed from the canner. I made blackberry jam today. I just heard 2 more ping as I am typing this. Those little pings are reminders to me to thank the Lord for His blessings. He provided the produce and all that it takes to preserve the food. He is the giver of all good gifts.
Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Hear are some other blessings that I have heard. The first breath and cry of a newborn safely delivered into this world. Rain on the roof after weeks of needing it. The low of a mama cow taking care of her newborn and knowing we have another season of good fresh milk. The sounds of 2 of the Wonderful Neighbors softly singing the Buttercup song as they milk. :) The belly laugh of a small child when they are delighted with something. To hear your Mom say I love you and to be able to tell her. Don't take this one for granted people. Take the time and make the time to do this. To hear little voices outside your window, knowing they are out there building you a snowman. The "I love you" at the end of phone conversations with those you love and who love you.
I am sure there are many more if I sit here and think on it. What are some blessings that you hear?

Marci-the sound I think is a blessing for me is the song of the whipporwills after a long and tiring day.
I am blessed to hear my children playing music and/or singing that glorifies the Lord - whether in practice or in play. Right now, they're singing and playing ... Christmas music as they are playing "Church", LOL!
I love to hear the birds singing...my kids squealing and laughing in the pool...pitter patter of a summer rain shower...the sounds of the ocean...and the voice of my dh as he leads us in devotions. :)
There's lots more, but this would be one mighty long comment! ;)
Those are absolutely wonderful sounds of blessing! I wish I could hear the pinging of sealed lids, but i guess the Lord figured I would be to tired with canning this year. :-) That jam sounds delicious!
Marci - thanks for stopping at my blog a few days ago. I haven't had time to visit you back until now and have enjoyed my time here. I grew up on a farm and my stop here feels like home!
I love your thoughts on hearing blessings! We are so blessed and sometimes are oblivious to it! As I type this I am blessed by the sound of our young kitten chasing a little toy around. I am also blessed by the sound of laughter and by the music I heard in church today.
