I am very excited to tell you that I will be having another give away. I will be announcing the details later this week... maybe. :) The give away is called, "It Just Felt Right." Keep checking back for details!!! :)
We are very blessed to live on a farm. We love old fashioned ways of doing things that seem to be fading away. We realize that this lifestyle is not for everyone but we are very grateful that God allows us to enjoy it.
We love having people visit our blog. Please take the time to leave a note so that we know you were here. You don't have to have a blog to leave a note. If you have something negative to say, you are welcome to say it. However, if you leave it anonymously it will not be posted. It seems the people who like to correct me or say ugly things, don't want to leave their name or a way I can respond to them.
May the Lord richly bless each of you!!!
Those are some fat little buggers!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, they are not really fat at all. They just have huge fluffy fleeces. Once they get sheared they look like little lambs again. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about sheep, but to me nothing says winter like a full coat like that.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the giveaway!
Looking forward to your giveaway, Marci. I missed your last one because of being on a blogging break.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much yarn can be made from one sheep?
The large white sheep in the foreground in the second picture is Sunshine. She is half Shetland and is the largest of all my sheep. Sob, sob... She is no longer my sheep, but now belongs to a friend. Anyway, I took her last fleece in and actually had it made into yarn instead of just roving for me to sping. I got 3,778 yards of sport weight yarn. Also, we had to pull out large portions of her fleece because of dry matter in it. So, it would have been more.
