I am bone tired tonight. I am not sure why, but I am more than ready to hit the sack. Michael and Joshua are out working on the back brakes of our car. They were REALLY bad. The house is very quiet. I hear horse hooves clomping down the road. Some of the Amish are coming home late from somewhere. I hear the crickets singing. One is singing VERY loud. He must be in the house somewhere. Last night I went to get in bed and there was a huge cricket on top of my covers. I DO NOT like bugs in the bed with me. It is really cool here. The computer says it is 70, but it feels cooler than that. I LOVE the cool air. I am glad to be home and to have my family here with me. God has truly blessed me.
Michael came in from doing the broilers and turkeys out in the field. He had found another caterpillar on some milkweed. He brought it in to me. These are pictures of it. It is either George with a bad hair day, or I could just call her Georgia and say she is a female. =) This is not a Monarch butterfly caterpillar. It is a Milkweed Tussock Moth Caterpillar.
I had some friend stop over to pick something up. They wanted to do a caterpillar this year, but had not found one, so Georgia went home with them. As soon as the men come in, I am headed for bed.

I love it when the house is quite. I love it when it is noisy too. (I'd better love it when it is noisy LOL). Hope you had a good rest.
I hate the indoors cricket as well. They can keep you awake at night, I hate that.
THAT is an interesting caterpillar. One I have not seen before.
Don't you just love the sounds of the country! Even the crickets...at least for awhile.
I always get so tired this time of the year too...just so much going on!
I miss hearing all those sounds. :D
