I have been listening to the song that plays first on my play list on this blog. I blogged about it a couple of days ago and put the words up. I have needed this song this last week or so. It reminds me, it is not about me. Who am I? I am HIS!!!! That is all I need to know. I can rest in that and quit wrestling all the things going on in life around me. Forget broken relationships and heart ache and grieving. I am one of His beloved. Even though my heart wanders and I don't always do the right thing, He loves me and still lights my path. But more than anything I mean something to Him. He loves me. Imagine that.... a Holy God loves me. It is almost too big to put my mind around.
I have two favorite hymns. Be Thou My Vision and Come Thou Fount. In the third verse of Come Thou Fount it talks about my wandering heart. Prone to wander, Lord I feel it.... Then asking Him to take it and seal it for His courts. Again, it is not me, but His doing. Because of what He's done.... I am His. PRAISE GOD!!!!!
