Star Wars with Blu Skye Walker

If you have read my blog for any length of time, you know that we have 2 dogs. Well, a dog and a puppy. Our dog's name is Southern Star and we call her Star. Our new puppy is Southern Blu Skye and we call her Skye.

With our last puppy, we learned how much a puppy loves to chew and we determined to give this pup plenty of toys to chew on instead of things we did not want her to chew on. Star will be 13 next month. She is a grand old lady and did not play with toys other than a tennis ball. Since Skye has arrived, Star's interest in toys has resurrected. :) When either dog picks up a toy, they start a war. So, we have called them Star Wars with Blu Skye Walker. :)

Sometimes it sounds rather ferocious. I took some pictures and a short video of one of the Star Wars today. You will see that in some of the pictures, they look really mean. They are just playing though. The puppy never gives up and just because Star is bigger does not give her the advantage. We hope you enjoy this episode of Star Wars. It is a fox they are fighting over.

  2. That is so cute! Puppies are so fun and neat to see how the puppy gets the older dog to play. When we got our blue healer she did the same thing got our older dog to play. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Rebekah

  3. I happened by your blog from another and keep it on my bloglist now. I too live in the country with a few farm animals. I have been intinding to comment but just never have till today. Your post about the dogs playing broght back some fond memories. We had a golden retiever till she passed away at 13yrs. We got a beagle when she was about 9yrs old and what fun they had together. Thier playing was exactly as your Star and Skye. Sounded scary but was just play and very intertaining. We now only have Sadie (beagle) and hope to get her a playmate and mayb the fun will continue. Thanks for sharing.

We love having people visit our blog. Please take the time to leave a note so that we know you were here. You don't have to have a blog to leave a note. If you have something negative to say, you are welcome to say it. However, if you leave it anonymously it will not be posted. It seems the people who like to correct me or say ugly things, don't want to leave their name or a way I can respond to them.

May the Lord richly bless each of you!!!
