Count Your Blessings Monday!!

Here is an opportunity for all of us to give thanks unto the Lord for a blessing in your life. I have changed how I am going to do things for these posts. I talked to some friends and got some feedback. Many people don't like the Mr. Linky part. Others, felt that they had trouble remembering the right day to come and comment on something. So, if you would like to take part great. If not that is OK too. If you would like to share your blessing, just leave it in the comments. If you want to use the picture above and list a blessing on your own site, then leave a URL to your site in the comments. There is no pressure here. I just know that I am incredibly blessed and I would like to share that and give thanks to Him who all blessing come from. This is a way that we can encourage one another. I know that I am often encouraged when someone shares a blessing with me. I think that many times we forget that it is a blessing to be able to breath, to get out of bed, to hold a baby... Share your blessings with us. We can share so many other things.... special gifts, recipes, let's take the time to share how God has blessed us!!

Today, I am thankful for family and a godly heritage. I went to my Aunt's funeral this past weekend. She, like my Mom left a wonderful legacy to follow in. My Mom crocheted things for people. Aunt Darolyn made quilts and quilted items for people. They both reached out and helped when they saw a need. They were encouragers and did not distinguish between rich or poor or color or anything else. I want to follow in their footsteps. I want to be remembered for being God's hands to others here on earth. I had 2 good examples.

It was also a blessing to get to see family this weekend. I have not seen my one cousin since 1974 at Thanksgiving. It was so nice to get re-aquainted.

Thank you Lord for family and for godly examples who went before me.

What are you thanking the Lord for today?
