My Valentine

God has truly blessed me with my Valentine. Michael and I got married in April of 1979. We have had many good years together. There were hard times, but the good far out weighs the bad. Michael is faithful and loyal. He has provided for me in so many different areas. He has the patience of Job and has had to use it being married to me. =) He encourages and is not a complainer. We have walked the path of barrenness together. He knew to hold me and just let me cry. He cried with me many times. He loves to give and receive hugs and kisses and cuddles. That is a good thing because I like to give and receive in those areas as well. He is very gentle and tender hearted. He is full of mercy. He was grace to me being law. He is a wonderful Dad to our son. We shared the joy of hearing that Joshua was ours. We always fought (playfully) over who got to hold him, dress him and do things for him. He never hesitated to change a dirty diaper or clean up a mess. He liked to have fun with Joshua and passed to him the love of sports. We have been companions, friends, lovers and partners. We have laughed together, cried together, prayed together, and played together. I feel like we grew up together. We were young and dumb when we got married. He is a very special man and I thank God daily for him. When I got meningitis and was so weak when I came home, he was oh so tender with me. He took such good care of me. When my Mom died he was there for me. He let me cry A LOT. I cried every day for months. I still have my moments when a wave of grief crashes over me and I cry. He holds me and lets me cry. Thank you God for this special man you gave me. Thank you Michael for who you are and what you do. I love you with all my heart!!!

Take time in the comments to tell us about your Valentine. How has God blessed you?

And that is the way it is suppose to be!! Aint it wonderful! Anyone that knows me just a little bit...knows how much I love my husband & what a great fella he is. They know it without ever meeting him because they hear me talk about him. Not bragging but he is "all that & a bag of grits too"! (Its a southern saying, lol). Marci we have what all women are looking for at some point & time in their life. Blessed just seems to simple of a word to express it all but it is the only one I know! Love you, thanks for the continous encouragment you always give me. You are as special as the man you married!!

God is so good. He has given us both wonderful husbands. Brian and I have only been married a short time, but he is the one that helped me through the struggles of college, being a "new" wife/homemaker, and a new mommy. If it wasn't for God and my hubby...who knows where I would be. ;) He holds me when I have had a hard day and laughs with me when we experience joy. I am truly blessed.

I consider it a privelege to leave acomment about my sweetheart! God has blessed me so much with a wonderful husband and 4 beautiful children. Our marraige has bloomed so much in the last couple years. I was 25 when I got married, but I cringe to think how immature I was and all my hubby went through because of it. Now nine years later we wouldn,t trade it for anything! Thank you Marci, for this oppurtunity.

My sweet Valentine and I have been married for 20 years! He is the kindest and gentlest of men. He never uses a harsh word, or raises his voice. He is always caring and concerned about me, and the kids.
He is a wonderful father--the best!
He and I have been through some of the craziest situations imaginable--and he's still here! LOL
He's my heart-mate!
