The birds are really coming to the feeder when it snows. They ones on the feeder knock so much out that their is always a crowd on the ground as well.
We are very blessed to live on a farm. We love old fashioned ways of doing things that seem to be fading away. We realize that this lifestyle is not for everyone but we are very grateful that God allows us to enjoy it.

It's Still Hard to Believe
Today is co-op day. It is hard to believe that Dixie is really gone. She had so many cute little habits and routines. After Michael let all the dogs out for the last time each night he gives them treats. As soon as he would put his hand in the bag, Dixie would run to her crate and go in. She would peak out at him. Each morning as I would go by the door to where she was in her crate, she would look up at me as if to say, let me out now. Both Michael and I are having our moments. I think having the truck to unload, orders to sort and people coming by to pick up their orders will be a good thing today to keep me busy.
I was going to blog last night about our weather, and before I got on here, tragedy struck. The first 2 pictures here are what we woke up to yesterday morning. More snow on the ground and it was snowing.

We love having people visit our blog. Please take the time to leave a note so that we know you were here. You don't have to have a blog to leave a note. If you have something negative to say, you are welcome to say it. However, if you leave it anonymously it will not be posted. It seems the people who like to correct me or say ugly things, don't want to leave their name or a way I can respond to them.
May the Lord richly bless each of you!!!
So sorry to hear about your dog's sudden death. I know how attached one gets to their dogs as we have had several through our lives. Any idea what the cause was? I think staying busy is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about Dixie. You know Marci how I just love animals, especially my "puppies". They have a certain love and forgiveness for us that a lot of humans cannot give. Again I am so sorry.

I still can't believe she is gone either. I am so sorry. I am sorry I couldn't come by today to pick up my order. I hope to see you soon though. :D
ReplyDeleteDo very sorry to hear about Dixie. Were you able to find out what happened? You will be in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about the loss of Dixie. It's amazing what a huge part our animals play in our lives and what a hole they can leave when they're gone. I will miss the reading "the Dixie stories." Take care and God bless.
