We are very blessed to live on a farm. We love old fashioned ways of doing things that seem to be fading away. We realize that this lifestyle is not for everyone but we are very grateful that God allows us to enjoy it.

Anonymous Comment Posters
I have allowed anonymous comments on my posts. I also have no problem with someone disagreeing with me and stating their case. What is sad though is the people who post hateful things or say things in hateful ways and then don't have the guts to post a link to be able to share your thoughts back with them. That is a cowards way of handling it. I do know that some people don't want their name out on the internet. That is fine. I have a couple of people who post comments with clues to me of who they are. Others, like Patti in the last post had an opposing view, but she put her name on it. I just had a comment on my Garden planning post that I deleted. The person did have some good points, but they were put in very ugly hateful ways. Because of that I deleted the comment. We can all learn from one another. If you don't agree with me, share why you don't. Who knows, maybe you will change my thinking. I don't want to go to moderated comments or not allowing anonymous posts, but if I keep getting ugly ones I will have to.

We love having people visit our blog. Please take the time to leave a note so that we know you were here. You don't have to have a blog to leave a note. If you have something negative to say, you are welcome to say it. However, if you leave it anonymously it will not be posted. It seems the people who like to correct me or say ugly things, don't want to leave their name or a way I can respond to them.

Why do people have to be rude when they comment? I am praying that the Lord would soften the heart of your anonymous commeter.

ReplyDeleteso sad Marci that you are going through this. The nasty ones never seem to have the courage to put a name to what they say, or they create a blogger profile just so they can comment with something not so nice. The one thing to remember, a person that strikes out at another, is in need of pity.

ReplyDeleteWhy do people visit blogs and make ugly comments? I read blogs for encouragement. If I don't agree with someone, so what? Life is too short to spend it writing nasty or mean things on someone's personal page!
